SF Partners are supporting a brilliant Staffordshire based business in Recruiting a Stock and Inventory Planner.

Working pattern: full time hybrid
Salary: up to £35,000

This role is responsible for ensuring products are available when needed by maintaining optimal inventory levels and placing and managing supplier orders to support operational continuity and maximise sales.

-Plan, schedule and monitor stock requirements to ensure product availability and fulfil customer demand.
-Analyse sales trends, forecasts and inventory data using internal reporting to determine future stock requirements.
-Maintain inventory within agreed stock targets, balancing product availability with cost efficiency.
-Monitor stock performance, identifying slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory, and recommend appropriate actions.
-Maintain accurate inventory records, planning data and reporting systems.
-Manage reorder points, safety stock levels and inventory planning parameters to optimise replenishment.
-Raise purchase orders and coordinate deliveries with both UK and international suppliers.
-Monitor supplier performance, tracking orders and proactively managing potential delays or shortages.
-Build effective relationships with category managers, warehouse teams, finance and suppliers to ensure stock availability.
-Produce regular inventory, purchasing and planning reports, highlighting key trends and risks.
-Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across inventory planning and purchasing processes.
-Assist with the implementation and ongoing optimisation of inventory management and ERP systems.
-Ensure all purchasing and inventory activities comply with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
-Review and maintain supplier lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), order frequencies and planning parameters to support accurate forecasting.
-Support the launch of new products and the phase-out of discontinued lines, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained throughout.
