Production & Raw Materials Planner
Location:
Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week, 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Pay Rate: £18.41 per hour
Contract Length: 4 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Administrator to join our team on a 4-month temporary contract to support the Supply Chain function during the implementation of SAP.
This role will provide administrative and planning support across both Production Planning and Purchasing activities, helping to ensure the smooth supply of raw materials and packaging throughout the transition period. The position will involve working extensively with spreadsheets and data, requiring excellent Excel skills and a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Production Planning team with planning and scheduling activities.
* Assist with purchasing activities for raw materials and packaging.
* Maintain and update planning and purchasing spreadsheets.
* Process and manage supply chain data accurately and efficiently.
* Support the SAP implementation project through data entry and administrative tasks.
* Monitor stock and material information, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth flow of information.
* Identify and resolve data discrepancies where required.
* Provide general administrative support to the Supply Chain team.
Key Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative, supply chain, planning or purchasing environment.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
* Experience using ERP systems would be advantageous; SAP experience is beneficial but not essential
