Customer Hub Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newcastle to assist with the appointment of a Customer Hub Officer, on a 5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Rate of Pay: £14.36 - £18.22 per hour

The Customer Hub Officer will be responsible for processing Business Rates changes, including business moves, billing, collection and recovery of Business Rates debt, as well as applying exemptions, discounts and rateable value changes. Candidates with strong Council Tax experience may also be considered where they have relevant revenues administration experience.

• Process Business Rates changes accurately and efficiently using RBLive and Image/Information@Work.
• Process business moves, including changes of occupancy and liability.
• Manage Business Rates billing, collection and recovery activities.
• Apply relevant exemptions, discounts and rateable value changes.
• Update and maintain customer and back-office records accurately.
• Review and process documentation received through the Council's document management system.
• Experience of working with RBLive and Image/Information@Work.
• Practical understanding of Business Rates processes and legislation.
• Experience processing business moves and changes in liability.
• Knowledge of billing, collection and recovery of Business Rates debt.
• Understanding of exemptions, discounts and rateable value changes.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
