We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic , and suitably qualified individual to join our Leisure Services team as a Duty Manager at Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre .
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a busy council-owned sports and leisure facility . Working on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operational management of the centre during your shift .
About the RoleAs Duty Manager, you will:
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure high standards of customer service and operational delivery.
- Oversee the safe operation of the facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Monitor and report on health and safety matters, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Support the training and development of staff in operational procedures and best practice.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, dealing effectively with enquiries and resolving issues.
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all users.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a leisure, fitness, or customer service environment.
- Experience of supervising, supporting, and training staff.
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety monitoring and reporting procedures.
- The ability to work flexibly as part of a rota, including evenings and weekends.
- Snowsport England Ski Instructor (L1), or the ability to obtain this within 6 months of appointment.
