Payroll Specialist (18 month Fixed Term Contract)

Our client, a leading organisation in the Logistics & Transportation sector, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team on a fixed-term contract for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Specialist

  • Conducting end-to-end payroll processing, including managing starters, leavers, adjustments (overtime), and statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP.
  • Overseeing the management, processing, and reconciliation of both monthly and weekly payrolls to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Responding promptly and accurately to enquiries from employees and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a high standard control environment, ensuring timely completion of payroll reconciliations and resolution of any issues.
  • Developing, managing, and enhancing payroll processes and controls.
  • Cultivating strong and effective relationships with external bodies and third-party providers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Flexibility to work as part of a team while managing varying workloads.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as SAP, ADP, and Work Day is advantageous.

Office based role Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Rate of pay £17.95ph - £19.23ph
