Astro Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support SEN and intervention work with Year 6 pupils at an Primary School in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated TA who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential, particularly in preparation for Key Stage 2 SATs and transition to secondary school.

About the Opportunity

Astro Education seek to recruit a Teaching Assistants for an primarry school to cover on a long term basis - The role will start immediatley and continue until end of academic year.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing 1:1 and small group intervention support for Year 6 pupils

* Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

* Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions

* Helping pupils build confidence and independence in learning

* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor progress

* Supporting preparation for end of Key Stage 2 assessments

Requirements

Successful candidates should have:

* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school

* Experience supporting intervention groups or SEN pupils

* A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

* A patient, flexible and supportive approach

* The ability to work effectively within a team

* Strong communication skills

* Availability to work full-time school hours
