A SEND Support Assistant plays a vital role in promoting the learning, inclusion, and wellbeing of identified pupils with special educational needs.

The role involves supporting pupils to make academic and personal progress, encouraging positive play and interaction with peers, and fostering social skills, good manners, and healthy habits within a safe and nurturing environment.

• Be an enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children.
• Be able to work alongside teachers and other SSAs to develop English, Maths, and personal skills.
• Hold GCSE qualifications in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• Have previous experience of working with SEND children in a school setting.
• Have initiative and experience of adapting resources for an individual pupil.
