Salary: £32,136 – £42,848 (Actual Salary £26,924 – £35,899)

Role Purpose

Provide specialist support for learners with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD and Asperger’s syndrome across a range of courses.

Responsibilities

Deliver one‑to‑one support through multi‑sensory, cumulative literacy programmes.
Screen and conduct diagnostic interviews for SpLD.
Prepare and adapt flexible learning materials to meet individual needs.
Complete exam access arrangements assessments in accordance with JCQ guidelines and process applications in the JCQ Access arrangement online system.
Assess and monitor progress, providing regular feedback to learners and staff.

Qualifications and Experience

First degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS, PGCE) or training in progress.
Post‑graduate Diploma/Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties (AMBDA) or working towards it preferred.
Experience supporting learners with Asperger’s syndrome and other SpLDs.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive practice.
