LECTURER IN ACCESS TO HE CRIMINOLGY & PYSCHOLOGY – Part‑time (11.25 hours per week). Salary: £32,136 – £42,848 pro rata (£9,771 – £13,028 actual per annum).

Newcastle & Stafford College.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to teach on our Access to Higher Education Courses for Criminology & Psychology. The role requires passion for teaching, the ability to inspire learners, and a suitable subject qualification at degree level along with a Level 5 teaching qualification such as the Diploma in Education and Training (formerly DTLLS) or willingness to obtain one.
MainDuties and Responsibilities
- Teach on agreed Access to Higher Education Courses for Criminology & Psychology programmes.
- Play an active role in marketing the College and Department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
- Prepare, mark, and monitor student progress; prepare reports; set and mark examination papers; develop and prepare flexible learning materials.
- Potentially teach evening courses, subject to timetable requirements.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to obtain one.
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Well‑organised and able to manage a varied workload.
- Effective communication skills with students and peers.
