Converter Engineer
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Converter Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize Converter systems under Service scope. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of Converter operations and address technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Provide fleet support to ensure optimal performance and reliability of existing Converter systems.
- Conduct technical RCA investigations to identify root causes of Converter issues.
- Develop and implement retrofits to enhance Converter performance and reliability.
- Identify and assess technical and financial risks associated with Converter issues.
- Participate in complex 8D problem‑solving processes to resolve critical Converter challenges.
- Act as a key stakeholder in new developments, particularly in DFMEAS related to Converter.
- Contribute on cost‑out measures to improve efficiency and reduce expenses in Converter systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to support Converter projects and fleet operations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in converter design, development, or maintenance.
- Strong expertise in power electronics, converter technology, and electrical standards.
- Advanced English communication skills (C1 level), verbal and written.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software (Excel, MATLAB, Python or R);
Polaris SQL and SAP are advantageous. - Proven track record in risk assessment and complex problem‑solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating across cultures.
