Location: Keele

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – working a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm.
Keele, Cheshire. £53,558 per annum (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at premium) + benefits.

So what's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site, following the 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Mission‑critical skills
  • Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally
  • Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Practical hands‑on approach
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and team leaders from both maintenance and production
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
