Candidates should posses a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in an extremely busy environment. You will possess experience of working as a medical secretary demonstrating accuracy and excellent multi-tasking capabilities in all aspects of the workload. You will be required to work as part of a team as well as being able to use your initiative and prioritise your own workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Manage and coordinate minor operations bookings for patients specifically for cancer patients.
- Schedule and manage Staffordshire Treatment Suite bookings, specifically for cancer patients.
- Monitor and prioritise workload to ensure timely patient access and service targets are met.
- Work closely with consultants and secretarial staff to facilitate patient pathways and clinic requirements.
- Answer incoming telephone queries from patients, staff, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to patient bookings and waiting lists.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve booking conflicts or capacity issues.
- Ensure compliance with service standards, targets, and national guidelines for patient care.

The Dermatology Team at Royal Stoke/County Hospital are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to work as a Medical Secretary and Waiting list officer.
