To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Production Shift Manager to come and join our team at our Chesterton factory in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

The development and promotion through effective communication of Company, Factory and team plans and their focused implementation to achieve defined objectives

People Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through Team working.

Rigorous application of the Ibstock Manufacturing system to deliver Continuous Improvement across all areas of Manufacturing Implementation of and adherence to all Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality The collection, assimilation and analysis of production and process data and its effective use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives

The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping using the 5S principles

Procurement of production materials, goods and services within defined areas of the production environment

Effective interdepartmental liaison to achieve defined objectives

Essential Qualifications &

Experience:

A Proven track record in a continuous manufacturing environment at the level advertised or aboveA high degree of self-motivation

The ability to self-manage and adjust to changing business needs

The ability to understand, accept and achieve targets and deadlines

Demonstrable organisational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures

Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem solving techniques

Ability to work collaboratively and to communicate effectively across all departments and levels of the business
