An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading high-performance engineering and manufacturing business based in Motorsport Valley. Operating at the cutting edge of motor sport and advanced powertrain technology, this business designs and manufactures highly complex, precision-engineered components for some of the world's most demanding performance applications.
The RoleAs a Dimensional Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out dimensional inspection activities on complex precision-engineered powertrain components, ensuring all parts meet exacting quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams, you will provide accurate dimensional data and support informed decision‑making in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out dimensional inspection of precision-engineered powertrain components
- Identify non-conforming components and complete detailed inspection reports
- Produce accurate non-conformance reports for dimensional and visual defects
- Ensure all inspection data is accurate and correctly entered into business systems
- Carry out daily calibration of inspection equipment
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and drive manufacturing excellence
- Previous experience as a Dimensional Inspector, Quality Inspector, CMM Inspector or Quality Assurance Inspector within precision engineering, automotive, aerospace or advanced manufacturing
- Experience inspecting complex components such as cylinder heads, engine blocks, crankshafts, gears or similar precision‑machined parts
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience using CMM equipment and dimensional inspection techniques
- Previous exposure to Talysurf and Quindos software would be advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
