Industrial Connected Talent is supporting an established precision engineering business in the Stoke-on-Trent area in the search for an experienced Quality Inspector.
This is a hands-on inspection role requiring strong PC-DMIS CMM experience and a background in precision engineering. The successful candidate will support production and engineering teams while helping maintain and improve quality standards across the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities for Quality InspectorAs Quality Inspector, you will inspect precision-machined components against engineering drawings, customer specifications and internal quality requirements. You will also support QMS activity, root cause investigations and process improvements across the business.
- Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS
- Inspect precision machined components against engineering drawings and CAD data
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection
- Use micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges and other inspection equipment
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Support QMS requirements, non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
- Contribute to process improvement and continuous improvement activity
The ideal candidate will have previous inspection experience within precision engineering or CNC machining and be confident programming CMM equipment using PC-DMIS. You should also understand quality management systems and be comfortable supporting improvements across inspection and production processes.
- Strong PC-DMIS programming and CMM inspection experience
- Previous experience within precision engineering, machining or advanced manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T
- Experience using manual precision measuring equipment
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, ideally ISO 9001
- Experience supporting root cause analysis and process improvements
- AS9100 experience would be advantageous
- Methodical, accurate and quality-focused approach
