HGV Class 1 Driver – 5 Vacancies Available – Newcastle-under-Lyme Full-Time Work | September Start | Ongoing Until January 2027

Driver Hire is recruiting 5 HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for one of the UK’s best-known toy retailers based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We’re offering full-time ongoing work from 1st September through to the New Year, with a variety of shift patterns available to suit different drivers.

Whether you prefer days, nights, tramping or depot-to-depot trunking work, this employer has the opportunities available.

• Overtime available for drivers who want additional hours (pay rates listed below)

• Immediate starts available following assessment

• Weekday Days: £16.25 per hour
• Weekday Nights: £17.37 per hour
• Saturdays: £17.37 per hour
• Sundays: £19.34 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £19.34 per hour

You’ll be delivering goods throughout the UK network and stores, ensuring loads are transported safely, professionally and on time.

Duties include:

• Vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Completion of delivery paperwork
• Compliance with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Good understanding of UK drivers’ hours and road transport regulations

Before starting, all successful drivers will complete a short on-site assessment with the client’s in-house training team.

Following a successful assessment, you’ll be able to start work immediately.
