As a Licensed Practical Nurse II in Home Health at Mercy, you will provide essential direct patient care under the guidance of registered nurses and licensed prescribers. OverviewUtilizing the nursing process, you will:
- Provide patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
- Coordinate patient care with various departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Perform your duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. You must maintain a current LPN license in the state where you work.
Physical Requirements /DemandsBe prepared to:
- Stand or walk most of the time on duty.
- Engage in significant bending, stooping, and lifting of patients with assistance.
- Push, pull, or grip up to 50 pounds.
We welcome both new and experienced LPNs!
CertificationsYou will need:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or complete within 30 days of hire).
- LPN-IV Certification (to be completed within 3 months of hire).
- Additional certifications may be required based on your specific unit.
