Blair West a supporting an established North East business in the search for an Assistant Management Accountant.

Based in fully renovated offices on the outskirts of Newcastle city centre the role would suit someone with experience of working in practice.

The opportunity:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Support the preparation and review of management reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and reconcile key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
• Assist with VAT returns for group companies.
• Support the preparation of tax returns for LLPs under supervision.
• Liaise with external advisors as required.
• Review and authorise purchase invoices for processing.
• Post journals and assist with month‑end close procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records across the portfolio.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• Previous experience of a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of purchase invoice authorisation.
• Experience posting journals and assisting with month‑end close procedures.
• Attention to accuracy and completeness across accounting records.
• AAT Level 3 qualification.
