We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, overseeing tax compliance, and providing financial analysis to support client decision-making.

The Senior Accountant will also mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements across the organization.

• Proficiency in financial accounting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation
• Strong understanding of tax compliance, auditing, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
• Expertise in accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification preferred)
• Experience working in an accountancy firm or for a range of business clients is highly desirable
