We're working exclusively with a well-established independent accountancy practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality advice to owner-managed businesses, group companies and UK subsidiaries of international organisations.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to welcome an Audit Semi Senior to their close-knit team.
This is an opportunity to join a firm where you'll be more than just a number. You'll gain exposure to a varied client portfolio, work closely with experienced Managers and Directors, and continue developing your technical skills in a supportive environment.
The RoleAs an Audit Semi Senior, you'll play a key role in delivering statutory audits while continuing to develop your professional qualifications and technical knowledge.
You'll work with clients across manufacturing, retail, service businesses and group companies, gaining exposure to businesses of all sizes and becoming involved throughout the audit process.
Unlike many larger firms, you'll also gain valuable exposure to statutory accounts and corporation tax, helping you become a well-rounded practice professional.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with planning and completing statutory audits.
- Prepare audit files and working papers.
- Carry out audit fieldwork at client premises and from the office.
- Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
- Support corporation tax assignments where required.
- Build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent service.
- Work closely with Managers and Directors to deliver quality assignments.
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Around 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
- Current audit experience.
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or actively studying.
- A good understanding of UK GAAP.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to continue developing within practice.
