We're currently working with a couple of growing business in Newcastle that are looking to appoint experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable professionals on a contract basis. These roles are ideal for candidates who are available immediately and can quickly add value within a busy finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

* Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

* Managing supplier statement reconciliations

* Resolving invoice queries and building strong supplier relationships

* Preparing and processing payment runs

* Supporting month-end activities

* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls

About You:

* Previous experience within Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable

* Available immediately or at short notice

* Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and data manipulation

* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

* Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem solving
