The Business Administration Apprentice will provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Department, assisting with the coordination of installations, servicing, and maintenance of CCTV, Access Control, Automatic Gates and Barriers.
Wage: £16,640 for the first year, with potential increases depending on age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices applies.
Responsibilities- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages (e.g., MS Office) to write letters, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data, and update databases.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals; recommends improvements and presents solutions to management.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement, making decisions based on sound reasoning and seeking advice when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation, demonstrating influence and coaching skills.
- Communicates effectively face‑to‑face, by telephone, in writing and on digital platforms, selecting appropriate channels and carrying authoritative presence.
- Completes tasks to a high standard, reviewing processes autonomously, and applying problem‑solving skills to resolve complex complaints; serves as a key point of contact for issues.
- Manages priorities and time, meeting deadlines and managing resources, organising meetings and events, taking minutes, and handling logistics such as travel and accommodation.
- Applies project‑management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report on projects, and leads projects as required.
Apprenticeships include specialist training time away from work. Day‑release training will take place at Burnley College.
Requirements- GCSE in Mathematics and English (grade A*–C / 9–4)
- Relevant qualifications and industry experience may be considered.
