Location – Newcastle (Hybrid)
Office Attendance – Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. You'll start your journey with 6-8 weeks of training to give you the best start and tools in your career.
Training will be office based. Once competent in role, you'll have the opportunity to move to hybrid working if certain criteria are met.

Why this role?At Tesco Insurance and Money Services, our Claims team does more than handle claims. We support customers through some of life's most challenging moments, helping them navigate difficult situations with empathy, expertise and care.
We're recruiting Claims Business Support Assistants to join our Newcastle office, providing vital administrative support to our Home and Car Claims functions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and ensuring claims processes run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll work across a range of systems and supplier platforms, supporting colleagues and customers while helping maintain operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
What you’ll be doing- Providing administrative support across the Home and Car Claims functions, managing multiple tasks and working across various systems and applications.
- Organising and prioritising workloads effectively, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in line with changing business priorities.
- Maintaining accurate claim records, documentation and data across a range of claims systems and supplier portals.
- Following claims procedures, regulatory requirements and operational controls to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance standards are met.
- Supporting customer claims by processing updates, instructions and payments through supplier portals and internal systems.
- Identifying and escalating customer issues or process concerns, helping to improve customer outcomes and team effectiveness.

- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers and a variety of stakeholders.
- A customer-focused and adaptable approach, demonstrating accountability, sound judgement and the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needs.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to follow established processes, maintain compliance standards and contribute positively to team performance.
- Experience working with call centre systems or insurance claims processes.
- Knowledge of insurance claims products and services.
- A proactive approach to personal development and continuous learning.
- Strong self-awareness and the ability to reflect on and enhance performance.
