Salary: Up to £80,000 OTE (£50,000 to £55,000 basic plus bonus) |
Hours: 44 Hours – Mon to Fri 9.00am to 6.00pm (one late finish to 7pm and a day off midweek), Sat 9.00am to 5.00pm and Sunday 11.00am to 3.00pm (rota basis)
A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Newcastle Volkswagen as a Sales Manager. The successful candidate will receive an industry leading remuneration package with access to in‑house training.
As Sales Manager, you will act as a role model for customer service excellence for the team, always leading by example. You will develop long‑lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and coach and motivate the team to do so too. You will report to the General Manager.
You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the showroom, including vehicle valuations and sales; supervising the vehicle journey from workshop prep right through to imaging and showroom presentation. You will work alongside the divisional buyer, dedicated prep technicians, detailers and photography team to deliver marketing standards.
Responsibilities- Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone & showroom
- Managing staff performance through structured 121s to training & development
- Implementing department targets and brand KPIs
- Responsible for buying in vehicles and up‑to‑date stock pricing
- Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department
- Managing and owning our Customer Satisfaction metrics
You will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences. You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each member.
Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and the ability to identify and address any shortfalls promptly is a must. You will need the ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations and possess excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate a sale. A full UK driving licence is essential.
