Location: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days office / sites, 2 days wfh)
About the Role:
We are supporting a well-established property organisation in the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of health and safety across a diverse portfolio.
Working closely with the Director of Health & Safety, this is a varied role offering exposure across audits, reporting, systems, and stakeholder engagement. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to learn, grow and develop within a supportive environment, whether you already have some experience or are looking to secure your first role in health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health and safety advice and guidance across the business
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the health and safety management system
- Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
- Assist with internal audits and risk management processes
- Produce reports and analyse health and safety data for key stakeholders
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and RIDDOR requirements
- Coordinate health and safety training, including identifying needs and supporting delivery
- Assist in the development and review of policies, procedures, and systems
- Engage with stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a Health & Safety role, or a strong interest in securing your first role in the industry
- A genuine interest in health and safety and developing a long-term career
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with data and reports
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- Experience with in property, housing, education or facilities management
