About the Role We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support projects in our Finance function on a fixed term basis. Working within a matrix environment, you will collaborate closely with business sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive projects forward and deliver measurable business benefits. You will establish clear project structures, plans and controls, ensuring objectives are well defined, risks are effectively managed and progress is communicated throughout the project lifecycle.

You will oversee scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies, applying the most appropriate delivery methodology to achieve successful outcomes. A key part of the role will be building strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations and ensuring solutions are aligned to business needs and strategic priorities. As a Project Manager, you will play an important role in supporting business readiness and change activities, helping colleagues successfully adopt new ways of working and ensuring sustainable outcomes are embedded across the organisation.

You will also ensure effective transition into operational support, with clear documentation, governance and acceptance into service processes.

You are a confident and delivery-focused Project Manager with a recognised professional qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI or an equivalent certification. You have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects within complex or regulated environments and are comfortable working across business and technology functions. You bring strong experience of leading cross-functional teams within matrix-managed organisations, creating clarity of purpose and maintaining momentum to achieve project outcomes.

Your expertise covers project planning, governance, reporting, RAID management and the application of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. You are commercially aware and have experience managing project budgets, forecasting expenditure and balancing resources, quality and delivery expectations in a changing environment. You are highly organised, data-driven and confident using tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner and Power BI to provide transparency and insight for stakeholders.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are central to your success. You can build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation, influence decision‑making, challenge constructively and bring people together around shared goals. You are equally comfortable presenting to senior leaders as you are working closely with delivery teams to resolve challenges and remove barriers. You also have a strong understanding of business change and readiness, with the ability to guide colleagues through change in a structured and engaging way.
