Overview
We are seeking to appoint a night shift Residential Childcare Officer to work at the Bedeburn short breaks home based in Newcastle.
Responsibilities- Work night shifts across the whole week as part of a 7‑day service.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, supporting them through challenging behaviours.
- Attend training, supervisions and team meetings during the day.
- Provide high‑resilience, resourceful support to achieve positive outcomes for children with disabilities.
- Experience of residential care for children with disabilities.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work with highly challenging behaviour and maintain resilience.
- Additional payments for unsociable hours.
