We are a well-established demolition contractor with a strong and growing workload across the North East and wider UK. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in demolition projects to join our Newcastle-based commercial team.

You will be responsible for the commercial management of demolition projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, accurate reporting, and maximised commercial performance.

• Commercial management of multiple demolition contracts
• Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
• Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations
• Assessing change, compensation events, and loss & expense
• Supporting tendering and pricing of demolition works
• Liaising with Contracts Managers, site teams, and clients
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and company commercial procedures

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the demolition sector (or related enabling works)
• Strong understanding of demolition methods and associated costs
• Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT / NEC)
• Commercially aware, detail-focused, and well organised
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• CSCS card preferred
• Full UK driving licence
