Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client has secured extensive work across the UK water sector to support the AMP8 investment cycle. The organisation has been appointed to a major water infrastructure enterprise to help shape and deliver a strategic infrastructure upgrade programme, with a long-term programme of works valued at up to approximately £670 million over 15 years.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all assigned commercial activities within the project environment.

The role will involve all aspects of the project lifecycle, with a focus on minimising project costs, maximising value for money and ensuring the required standards and quality are achieved in accordance with the contract and the expectations of the Customer and Contract Leader.

• Efficiently and effectively manage and issue accurate, timely and compliant contractual notices and correspondence.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities and ensure these are communicated to the Contract Leader.
• Prepare and agree applications for payment, or assess and prepare payment certificates where required.
• Maintain registers covering variations, delays, extensions of time and claims.
• Ensure compliant and consistent implementation of the Company's commercial policies and procedures.
