Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Customer Service Assistant – Empiric Student Property plc

Contract:

24‑hour contract; shift pattern: 4 × 6‑hour shifts between 6 AM and 8 PM, weekdays and weekends. Contract runs until June 2026 with possibility to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create a “home away from home” community for students; plan social events and deliver outstanding check‑in/check‑out experiences; handle complaints with care; drive high customer satisfaction scores.
  • Sales and Revenue: Help meet city revenue and sales targets; stay abreast of local trends and competition; meet sales targets and boost re‑booking; balance financial performance with customer happiness.
  • Sustainability and Community: Engage with local communities through volunteer days and charity efforts; promote recycling, energy‑saving and other eco‑friendly practices; advocate for positive social and environmental change.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure buildings are safe, clean and well maintained; promote a positive safety culture; handle emergencies and report incidents; maintain up‑to‑date training and prioritize health and safety.
Qualifications
  • Experience in PBSA, hospitality or a similar field
  • Proven background in customer service, compliance and sales
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and problem‑solve effectively
  • Enthusiasm for fostering community and driving results
