IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome Customer Relations Assistants to join our delightful and friendly team.
If you are looking for a role where you get to build your customer service skills and help co-create the wonderful everyday with our many in-store guests, we would be happy to hear from you.
We have 12-hour contracts working on our Check-Outs and Customer Relations / Returns areas, where you would provide after sales support.
What We Offer- The Start Date of employment will be 27th of September 2026.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
- 12 hour contracts working 3 days per week including 3 weekends out of 4. Between the hours 09:00am - 22:00pm.

What We're Looking For- You prefer to take initiative, are adept at juggling several responsibilities at once, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision.
- You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
- You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
- The confidence to maintain composure and patience when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints.
- You will use your knowledge, resilience and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with any issues raised.
- You ensure accurate handling of all returned products, highlighting and escalating any product issues immediately.
- Supporting customers experiencing difficulties in product assembly and where needed be able to order and exchange spare parts.
