Our client, based in Newcastle, is seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer to join their established and growing team. As a Senior Urban Designer, you will :

• Lead and manage complex urban planning and regeneration projects.
• Provide strategic planning advice across a range of development types.
• Prepare and oversee high-quality reports, frameworks, and design-led planning documents.
• Engage with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the planning function.

Experience in urban design within the public or private sector.

A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning & Design, or a related discipline.

MRTPI or working towards chartership (or equivalent experience at senior level).

Strong understanding of UK planning policy, legislation, and urban design principles.

Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and managing client relationships.
