Salary: £27,000 – £30,000
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning, multidisciplined consultancy who provide a wide range of expertise to the residential and commercial sectors. They are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and talented Graduate Urban Designer to join their expanding team in Newcastle

Responsibilities for a Graduate Urban Designer will include:
- Supporting the preparation of masterplans, frameworks and urban design proposals
- Producing plans, diagrams, presentations and design material
- Undertaking site and contextual analysis
- Assisting with feasibility studies and design development
- Contributing to design codes, design guidance and planning documents
- Supporting the preparation of planning applications and associated material
- Producing high-quality visualisations and presentation material
- Working collaboratively with architects, planners, consultants and clients
- Researching and applying best-practice principles in sustainable placemaking and urban design
- Developing your understanding of the planning and development process
Requirements for the Graduate Urban Designer role includes:
- A relevant degree in Urban Design, Town Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in urban design, placemaking and the built environment
- Strong graphic and presentation skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Sketchup
- An understanding of master planning principles and spatial design
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A creative and analytical approach to problem solving
- Good attention to detail and an ability to manage deadlines
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
