Job Summary

Architectural Technologist | North East | £38,000 to £45,000

We are working with an established, award-winning design studio recognised for delivering innovative architecture and placemaking projects across a diverse range of sectors. With a portfolio that spans community, commercial, residential, education, sport and leisure developments, this is an opportunity to take real ownership on projects that are both technically challenging and socially meaningful. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role within a collaborative team, driving projects from concept through to delivery.

You'll lead the development of technical design information, resolve complex detailing and coordinate with consultants and contractors, while helping to shape the quality and technical standards of the studio's output.

This role is ideal for an Architectural Technologist with 3+ years' UK experience and strong technical ability. You'll have a sound understanding of construction methods, detailing and Building Regulations, and the confidence to manage your own workload and packages of work. You'll be comfortable leading on technical stages (RIBA Stages 3 to
5), working proficiently in Revit, and supporting more junior colleagues. Progress towards chartership (CIAT or RIBA) is desirable, and the studio will actively support you to achieve it.

About you

  • At least 3+ years' post-qualification experience in a UK architectural practice.
  • Strong technical ability across detailed design, specification and construction information.
  • Proven experience delivering projects through technical design and construction stages.
  • Advanced Revit skills and experience coordinating with the wider design team.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with the confidence to take responsibility and communicate clearly with clients and consultants.
  • MCIAT chartered, or working towards it (desirable).

In return, you'll receive:

  • Salary in the region of £38,000 to £50,000 (dependent on experience).
  • A 4.5-day working week.
  • No expectation of regular overtime.
  • Ongoing professional development and chartership support.
  • Exposure to complex, high-profile projects.
  • A collaborative and supportive studio culture that values innovation, wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity packages.
  • Private pension.
  • Private healthcare.

For Architectural Technologists ready to take the next step in their career within a respected design practice, this is an excellent opportunity to take on greater responsibility and work alongside some of the industry's most talented professionals.
