Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Are you an experienced BIM professional ready to take ownership of project delivery, lead technical excellence, and help shape the future of digital engineering?

We're seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join a growing MEP Building Services team in Newcastle, playing a pivotal role in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across sectors including Data Centres, Rail, Healthcare, and Sports & Leisure.

What’s In It For You?

This is far more than a traditional BIM Technician role.

You'll be a key technical leader within the BIM team, responsible for delivering high-quality BIM models, coordinated design information, and project documentation throughout both design and construction phases.

Working closely with engineers, project leaders, architects, and contractors, you'll drive BIM best practice while overseeing model management, technical coordination, resource planning, and digital project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading BIM delivery and model coordination on major MEP projects.
  • Managing project setup within Autodesk Construction Cloud environments.
  • Producing and reviewing BIM documentation, including BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Facilitating design reviews and clash detection processes.
  • Supporting and mentoring BIM Technicians across the team.
  • Managing BIM workflows, standards, software developments, and project resources.

We're looking for someone who combines technical BIM expertise with strong leadership capabilities.

You’ll ideally bring:
  • 8-10+ years' experience within a consultancy or contractor environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
  • Experience using Navisworks, Solibri, Revizto, Clarity, Autodesk Construction Cloud and BCF-based workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards, information management and digital delivery processes.
  • Experience delivering projects within sectors such as Data Centres, Rail, Healthcare, or Sports & Leisure.
  • The ability to coordinate teams, manage resources and influence project outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and project stakeholders.
What sets this opportunity apart?
  • A high level of responsibility and autonomy.
  • The opportunity to influence digital delivery across major projects.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge BIM technologies, automation and virtual design environments.
  • A clear pathway to further leadership and technical progression.
  • The chance to mentor and develop the next generation of BIM professionals.

If you're ready to take the next step in your BIM career and play a leading role in delivering some of the UK's most complex building services projects, we'd love to hear from you.
