NHS CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN WITH INTEREST IN RESPIRATORY MEDICINE VACANCY

We have been assigned by an NHS Trust in Hertfordshire to help them recruit a Consultant Physician with an interest in Respiratory Medicine and a sub-specialty interest in Allergy or Interstial Lung Disease on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months.

The department provides a 7 days a week respiratory service so the appointee will be involved in 7 day working and will be part of the General Medicine Team of Consultants therefore expected to participate in the Physician of the Week (on Call) rota. The current chest physicians are all enthusiastic and determined to build an excellent department. There is a substantial Respiratory Nurse Specialist Group, full Endoscopy services, Sleep Unit and Lung Function Units.

Recent £150m major facility investment includes a major new Emergency Department, Cardiology Centre (includes 24/7 PPCI services), Scanning Centre, Chemotherapy unit, Endoscopy and theatre blocks.

GMC Registration is essential for this Consultant vacancy however Specialist Registration is not. Both experienced and new Consultants are encouraged to apply.
