We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Haematology with an interest in Red Cell Disorders on either a Substantive or a 12-month NHS Fixed Term basis
.

The successful appointee will join an excellent Haematology department of 5 Consultants and participate in the on-call rota, which is 1 in 5.

Responsibilities include:

Providing care and support for haematology in-patients

Offering advisory services for haematology issues in non-haematology in-patients

Participating in the authorization of haematology laboratory results, including examination and reporting of abnormal blood films

Performing Bone Marrow biopsies

Maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care

Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities

Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary team

The trust is undergoing a new strategy aligned with their values of quality, people, pathways, ease of use, and sustainability, supported by a significant investment of £150 million under the 'Our changing hospitals' programme, following complex service reconfigurations.

10 PA's, with negotiable additional PA's based on on-call commitments
