Operations Manager

Full Time | Permanent | Office-based in Newcastle

ATC Training is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and future growth of our organisation. This hands‑on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving systems, supporting people, and ensuring high‑quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across learner support, systems, marketing support, and delivery.
  • Line‑manage and support operational staff, including workload planning and development.
  • Act as a central coordination point between staff, tutors/assessors, and leadership.
  • Manage internal quality assurance processes across learning delivery and assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with the awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and support external audits.
  • Oversee effective use of systems such as the LMS and digital platforms.
  • Use data and reporting to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support automation and process optimisation to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support enquiries, learner onboarding, and enrolment processes.
  • Work closely with marketing and learner support teams to improve conversion.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, course scheduling, and growth initiatives.
About You

You’ll be a proactive, organised professional with a strong operational background and a hands‑on approach.

  • Experience in an operations or business management role (education or training preferred).
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating workloads.
  • Strong digital skills, including LMS/CRM systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Training/teaching qualification (minimum Level
    4).
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above or equivalent).
  • Internal Quality Assurance / Internal Verifier qualification.
