As leading ambassadors for education within the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle we are delighted to advertise the role of Education Business Manager within our Education Team based at St Vincent’s Diocesan Offices, Newcastle upon Tyne.
This position is pivotal in supporting the Director and Deputy Director of Education in current and future educational needs through the development, engagement, and preservation of Catholic education. The successful candidate will be the interface to ensure our Education Department is proficient and productive and that resources are allocated effectively to enable us to support schools and Catholic Education Trusts (CETs) in the delivery of a high‑quality Catholic education.
Responsibilities- Support the Director and Deputy Director of Education in planning and delivering education strategies for schools and CETs.
- Act as the interface between the Education Department and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Carry out and report on professional evaluation processes, presenting findings to committees, boards or agencies.
- Prepare and deliver project briefs and action plans for education initiatives, regardless of size.
- Provide exemplary service to CETs and school communities, ensuring high‑standard Catholic education delivery.
- Lead event planning and organize at least three annual conferences within the region, liaising with the Communications Manager.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, maintaining excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Engage with school governors, Chief Operating Officers, Trusts or Multi‑Academy Trusts to support school business activities.
- Experience in education, ideally within primary or secondary school settings.
- Knowledge and experience with Education Trusts is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct, report on and deliver evaluation processes.
- Strong project management skills, including the preparation of briefs and action plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with governors, COOs, Trusts, and other stakeholders.
