Humly are working on behalf of a North East college, recruiting for a full-time, long-term Teacher/Business Studies Lecturer.
The Role:
Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Studies Lecturer? We are seeking dedicated educators to inspire learners studying Business Studies at KS4 and KS5 (GCSE, A Level, or BTEC) within a school or college setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching & Learning:
Deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons using pre-set schemes of work and lesson plans
* Assessment:
Assess, record, and report on learner progress, achievement, and attainment in line with curriculum requirements
* Classroom Management:
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment where learners are motivated and supported to succeed
* Curriculum Knowledge:
Support learners’ understanding of key Business Studies concepts such as finance, marketing, operations, and enterprise
* Safeguarding:
Uphold the institution’s safeguarding policies and actively promote the welfare of all learners
* Collaboration:
Work effectively with teaching teams, share best practice, and communicate professionally with colleagues, parents, and carers where appropriate
Requirements
* Proven experience teaching or supporting Business Studies in a secondary school or FE setting
* Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS)
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills with a calm, professional approach
* Commitment to continuous professional development and contributing positively to the wider education environment
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
