Health & Social Care Support Worker – School Setting

Full‑time | Term‑time only | Immediate start available

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to thrive both academically and emotionally? We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable Health & Social Care professional to join our school team and make a real difference every day.

You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs, including medical, personal care, emotional regulation, and day‑to‑day wellbeing. Working closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and external agencies, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every young person can succeed.

• Supporting students with personal care, mobility, or medical needs (training provided)
• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
• Working collaboratively with staff and families to ensure student needs are met
• Helping create a calm, structured learning environment

• Has experience in Health & Social Care, youth work, support work or SEND
• Is patient, empathetic and confident supporting vulnerable young people
• Can work well within a team and follow safeguarding procedures
• Is resilient, proactive and committed to improving young people’s lives
• (Desirable) Holds a Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care or similar

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
