Are you a dedicated Maths specialist with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? Our friendly and supportive SEND school in Newcastle is seeking a committed 1:1 Maths Tutor to join the team after half term.

About the Role

This role involves providing personalised, high‑quality 1:1 Maths support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will tailor learning to individual needs, build confidence, and help pupils make measurable progress in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver targeted 1:1 Maths tutoring sessions
Adapt learning plans to meet individual pupil needs
Track progress and contribute to assessments
Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Promote a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning experience Requirements

Must hold the relevant tutoring/teaching qualification
Experience working within a SEND setting is highly desirable
Strong subject knowledge in Maths
Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and organisational skills
