Overview

Science Technician - Newcastle

The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Newcastle which is seeking a Science Technician to join their Science department as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Science Department in maintaining and organising equipment and materials, and to support the Department with lesson preparation.
Requirements
  • Experience in an educational setting such as a school or college (desirable)
  • Experience of working with young people (desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety in a lab setting
  • Educated to degree level in a Science subject
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Remuneration

The advertisement stated a rate of pay of £90 - £110 per day; this depends on qualifications and experience.
