Do you want to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers? A well-resourced St Albans secondary school is seeking a DT Teacher to deliver exciting lessons in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering, helping students develop creativity, practical skills, and innovation.

Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and hands‑on learning.

• Planning and delivering engaging, practical DT lessons
• Supporting pupils in designing, making, and evaluating projects
• Ensuring safe use of tools, machinery, and materials
• Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching DT in secondary schools
• Creative, practical, and innovative
• Skilled in workshop safety and behaviour management
