Substitute Intervention Math TeacherJob Description
Prospect Ridge Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Substitute Intervention Math Teacher to provide targeted math support in the absence of the regular intervention teacher. This position works with small groups of students who need additional support in foundational and grade-level math skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed math teacher, retired educator, or experienced substitute who enjoys working with small groups and helping students build confidence in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver small-group math intervention instruction
- Implement lesson plans and targeted math strategies
- Support students in developing number sense, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning
- Monitor student progress and communicate with staff as needed
- Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Develop a cooperative partnership with parents and students based on mutual respect and objectivity.
- Follow PRA curriculum guidelines and policies
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Math or Education preferred)
- Experience teaching or supporting math intervention preferred
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Commitment to the implementation of Character Education and Positive Behavior System.

- This position includes contact with students, staff, Administrators, Prospect Ridge Academy Board of Directors, and parents.
