Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? You do not need school-based experience to apply - we welcome candidates with personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs.

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, which may include autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional needs.

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Helping pupils access learning in and outside the classroom
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have personal experience supporting someone with additional needs (for example, a sibling, family member or close friend with autism or other SEN)
• Are patient, empathetic and understanding
• Are resilient and calm under pressure
• Have a genuine interest in helping children thrive

School experience is not essential. We value real-life experience, compassion and the right attitude just as much as professional background. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
