Location: Newcastle Salary: 85-100 per day Start Date: Immediate

A supportive education provider in Newcastle is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Key Skills Tutor to support learners in developing essential English, Maths, and employability skills. This role is ideal for a Key Skills Tutor who is passionate about helping young people and adults build confidence, independence, and functional skills needed for education, training, and employment.

The Key Skills Tutor will work with individuals and small groups, delivering tailored sessions that meet learners’ needs and support progression.

• Deliver engaging Key Skills sessions in English and Maths.
• Support learners to achieve functional skills and key qualifications.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote confidence, independence, and employability skills.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress.

• Have experience delivering Key Skills, Functional Skills, or similar programmes.
• Be confident teaching English and Maths at an appropriate level.
• Have strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Be patient, supportive, and adaptable in your approach.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
