Due to continued growth and internal progression, the school is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Exams Officer.
Role OverviewThe Exams Officer is responsible for the effective administration and smooth running of all internal and external examinations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing GCSE and A Level examination entries
- Liaising with awarding bodies (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.)
- Coordinating examination timetables
- Recruiting and managing exam invigilators
- Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations
- Managing access arrangements and special considerations
- Overseeing results days and post-results services
- Maintaining accurate candidate records
- Supporting mock exam processes
- Producing examination reports for SLT
The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
Exams & Data Team InformationThe Exams Officer works closely with the Data Manager and Deputy Head (Curriculum). The school uses established MIS systems and has clear annual examination cycles. Training and professional updates are supported.
