Salary: £100 – £140 per day (depending on experience)

Must be available 5 days per week from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 to 3:00 on Friday

Are you a skilled and passionate Motor Vehicle Tutor looking to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Motor Vehicle Tutor to work in Schools with learners across Newcastle upon Tyne, delivering high-quality vocational training and supporting students to achieve practical and academic success.

As a Motor Vehicle Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, industry-relevant sessions aligned with qualification standards. You will support learners in developing technical knowledge, hands‑on skills, and workplace readiness for progression into further training, apprenticeships, or employment within the motor vehicle industry.

Plan and deliver engaging Motor Vehicle lessons and practical workshops

Teach theoretical and practical automotive content in line with awarding body specifications

Assess, monitor, and track learner progress, providing constructive feedback

Support learners with varying abilities, adapting delivery methods as needed

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues and training providers

Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies at all times

Relevant qualification in Motor Vehicle / Automotive Studies or equivalent

Experience delivering motor vehicle training in a college, training centre, or similar setting

Strong industry knowledge and understanding of vocational standards

Confident behaviour management and clear communication skills

Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different learning environments

A genuine commitment to learner development and achievement

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
