Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)

We are looking for confident and adaptable Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Newcastle
.

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into the classroom to supervise students during the short‑term absence of teaching staff, ensuring learning continues in a structured and positive environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching.

• Supervise whole classes using pre‑set lesson plans
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide support and guidance to students where needed
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
• Assist with general school duties as required
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

• A recent graduate with a degree in any subject such as Psychology, Social Care, SEN, Education, Sports, Science etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence managing groups of young people
• A genuine interest in working within education
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
